INVESTING IN PLATINUM
WHY PLATINUM?
Platinum was only discovered in 1557, much later than silver and gold and was not used as currency except for a short period in Russia. The value in platinum is in its unique properties, which is why it can be found in catalytic converters, lab equipment, electrical contacts, dentistry equipment and jewelry.
LIMITED SUPPLY
The supply of platinum is very limited; in fact, it is estimated that all the platinum ever mined would only fill a room 25 feet on each side. To mine and extract the metal it takes about 6 months.
STRONG INVESTMENT & DEMAND
Platinum can be an excellent investment with the price of it increasing by over 329% since 2000. With more and more people buying cars in countries such as China, India and around the world, the demand for platinum will help create a healthy market for growth.

Platinum Bullion Bars
Made of 99.95% pure platinum, bullion bars come in a variety of sizes, styles, and brands. Bars range in size from 1 ounce to 50 ounces. Bars can be “cast” or “minted.”
There are many different “hallmarks” (the name/brand for the refiner who produced the bar). Small bars: 1 ounce to 10 ounces are manufactured to precise specifications and contain the corresponding amount of pure platinum. Large bars: 50-ounce bars are “odd-weight” bars. “50-ounce bars” can weigh between 46.5 ounces and 53.5 ounces. All platinum bullion bars are bought and sold based on their gross weight. Platinum bars can be shaped differently depending on the brand.
